Applied AI Lead

About the role

The Applied AI Lead sits at the center of how Luminary’s customers experience AI, working cross‑functionally across product, engineering, sales and customer success to deliver purpose‑built AI solutions that fit each firm’s unique workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end implementation of Luminary AI for each customer through prompt engineering and orchestration, translating firm practices into purpose‑built AI experiences.
• Design and configure firm‑specific AI outputs such as document summaries, client memos, trust recommendations, and other AI‑powered workflows.
• Define reusable prompt libraries, configuration templates and implementation patterns.
• Partner with customers to understand trust and estate planning decisions, improving AI quality, adoption and workflow efficiency.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to turn customer learnings into reusable platform capabilities.
• Support the sales process by demonstrating AI capabilities and communicating the value of firm‑specific customization.
• Lead post‑sale implementation, experimentation and ongoing optimization of AI configurations.
• Develop implementation playbooks and best practices that scale AI adoption across the customer base.

Required profile

• Experience with prompt engineering and orchestration, with a strong intuition for production‑ready AI.
• Comfort working directly with customers, asking thoughtful questions and translating ambiguous workflow needs into concrete implementations.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to executives and practitioners, with experience supporting enterprise sales cycles.
• Product mindset – identifying patterns across customers and evolving requests into scalable capabilities.
• Financial services literacy and curiosity about wealth transfer, trust and estate planning.
• Excellent written communication skills and an eye for polished, client‑facing AI outputs.
• Builder’s mentality – enjoys experimenting, iterating quickly and continuously improving product and process.
