Applied AI Engineer, Generalist

About the role

Join Sable to build Aidan, an AI employee that can lead customer calls using real‑time voice, vision, and browser interaction. You will empower Aidan to orchestrate multiple modalities and make the experience feel human.

Key responsibilities

• Own large end‑to‑end changes to the agent runtime, from design through rollout.
• Run multi‑person projects: plan, split work, review pieces, and keep the effort coherent.
• Raise the bar on team practices by improving review quality, test discipline, and verification processes.

Required profile

• Two or more years building software, with ownership of production systems.
• Strong generalist background: backend and systems by default, comfortable with frontend, infrastructure, or ML code as needed.
• Experience coordinating projects across several engineers and thriving in a small, end‑to‑end ownership environment.
