Applications Engineer – 3D X-ray Systems

About the role

As an Applications Engineer you will join a team of scientists and engineers to develop and support advanced 3D X‑ray systems for semiconductor failure analysis, R&D, and academic research.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct system demonstrations for prospective customers.
• Develop new applications and use cases for 3D X‑ray technology.
• Create and optimize imaging and analysis workflows.
• Perform tool characterization and baseline performance evaluations.
• Provide technical sales support including demos and conference presentations.
• Identify complex customer problems and lead solution implementation.
• Lead recipe creation to optimize system performance.
• Participate in customer demo activities and technical review meetings.

Required profile

• BS or MS degree in a relevant technical field.
• Hands‑on experience designing and conducting experiments.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.
• Background in microscopy or related imaging techniques (preferred).
• Experience performing system demonstrations in a commercial environment (preferred).
• Understanding of X‑ray absorption principles and imaging fundamentals (preferred).
