Applications Developer I – Enterprise SaaS Platforms

About the role

Uber Engineering is seeking an Applications Developer I to own and operate its core enterprise SaaS applications. The role sits at the intersection of IT, SaaS administration, automation, and customer impact, ensuring critical collaboration tools run securely and efficiently at global scale.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as primary technical owner for enterprise SaaS tools such as Google Workspace, Zoom, Slack, Figma, Asana, Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, and Okta.
• Manage configuration, access models, permissions, integrations, and automation workflows.
• Oversee the full application lifecycle: onboarding, off‑boarding, renewals, vendor coordination, and feature rollouts.
• Resolve complex L3 issues and lead incident response for application outages.
• Design automation and integration solutions using JavaScript, Python, APIs, and Enterprise AI (Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude, MCP).
• Analyze ticket and usage data to identify trends and optimization opportunities.
• Produce and maintain runbooks, SOPs, escalation guides, and documentation.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with enterprise SaaS administration and lifecycle management.
• Strong programming background with Python, JavaScript, Java, and SQL.
• Familiarity with data platforms such as BigQuery and Apache Hive.
• Ability to collaborate across Engineering, Security, IT Ops, and business stakeholders.
