Application Security Associate/Analyst

About the role

The Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland is seeking an Application Security Associate/Analyst to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of its web and mobile applications. The role involves establishing access controls, defining security requirements, monitoring for anomalies, and conducting security testing across Treasury Services applications.

Key responsibilities

• Identify security‑related issues and define requirements throughout the application development lifecycle.
• Review development documentation to ensure compliance with secure coding standards and security guidelines.
• Collaborate with developers to design, prototype, test, and document moderately complex application software securely.
• Monitor system accounts for atypical usage and investigate potential breaches.
• Support FISMA initiatives, including updating security plans and assisting the ISSO.
• Perform penetration testing to verify that web vulnerabilities are absent in Treasury Services applications.
• Analyze cybersecurity trends, assess emerging risks, and recommend appropriate application security responses.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
• Associate degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience OR a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Experience working within the software development lifecycle and with security governance frameworks.
