Application Development Engineer (E3)

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking an Application Development Engineer (E3) to advance metrology and inspection solutions for semiconductor manufacturing. The role focuses on eBeam/SEM technologies, data analytics, and delivering innovative measurement capabilities to customers.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as a metrology and inspection expert in the eBeam/SEM domain.
• Define, implement, and qualify metrology solutions that address critical customer gaps.
• Interface with customers to gather technical requirements, perform analyses, and manage schedules.
• Create and lead new methodologies to optimize system performance for specific applications.
• Perform CnFs and qualification of new metrology approaches, and transfer application capabilities to customer sites.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience operating SEM metrology systems in the semiconductor industry.
• Proven ability to lead projects from kickoff through completion with clear planning and reporting.

Required skills

• eBeam/SEM metrology expertise.
• Strong data analysis skills.
• Programming experience (a plus).
