Application Developer – Web & Database Specialist

About the role

DNI is looking for a motivated Web Developer/Application Programmer to support the U.S. Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT). The role involves building, maintaining, and enhancing public‑facing and internal web applications that power admissions, curriculum management, student records, research reporting, and recruitment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain web applications using HTML, JavaScript, CSS, SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle APEX, ColdFusion, Bootstrap, and related technologies.
• Update content, templates, and assets for AFIT websites and internal portals.
• Support database structures, including schemas, tables, views, and constraints.
• Gather requirements from customers, translate business needs into technical solutions, and produce custom reports and administrative interfaces.
• Provide weekday application support, troubleshooting, testing, and user assistance.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and workflow diagrams.
• Ensure applications meet accessibility standards, including Section 508 compliance.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship and active Secret security clearance.
• CompTIA Security+ certification or ability to obtain it within the contract period.
• 1‑3 years of experience in web development or application programming.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
