Application Developer

About the role

The Application Developer will join the DCAS Information Technology team to support Centre 360, the City’s public reservation platform for the panoramic experience atop the David N. Dinkins Municipal Building. Working under senior development staff, you will help keep the platform stable, secure, and performant during high‑traffic public reservation periods.

Key responsibilities

• Support, maintain, and enhance the Centre 360 application.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly, especially during monthly reservation openings and peak demand.
• Develop new features and functionality based on business needs and visitor feedback.
• Write clean, scalable code and participate in peer code reviews.
• Collaborate with senior developers, QA engineers, and business analysts to design, test, and deploy updates.
• Provide development support for other critical citywide systems managed by the DCAS IT team as needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience in developing and maintaining web applications.
• Strong problem‑solving ability to address technical issues under time pressure.
• Effective teamwork skills, able to work closely with senior staff, QA, and analysts.
