Application Developer – Internal Systems

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Application Developer to design, build and support critical internal systems that drive operational efficiency and digital innovation for Spaghetti Bridge, a group of specialist schools across the UK.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain internal software systems and applications.
• Analyse business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Write clean, scalable code and support the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Troubleshoot, debug, and improve existing applications.
• Collaborate with internal teams to identify technical solutions to business challenges.
• Support database development, reporting, and data analysis.
• Contribute to regular software releases within an agile environment.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to other team members.

Required profile

• Strong experience with JavaScript and modern development practices.
• Proficiency in SQL/PSQL and database design or data modelling.
• Knowledge of application development using C#.NET, Delphi, VB, or low‑code platforms.
• Experience building commercial or enterprise applications used by professionals.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to gather requirements and design solutions collaboratively.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
