Anti-Virus Engineer – Enterprise Endpoint Protection

About the role

We are seeking an Anti-Virus Engineer to lead enterprise endpoint protection operations within a federal environment. The role designs, implements, and maintains integrated security controls to safeguard systems, data, and infrastructure across a large‑scale agency.

Key responsibilities

• Lead deployment, configuration, and ongoing operations of enterprise anti‑virus solutions on workstations and servers.
• Administer centralized anti‑virus policies, exceptions, and protection settings via management consoles.
• Manage signature/DAT and engine updates to ensure up‑to‑date threat protection.
• Execute scheduled scans, validate updates, and perform endpoint health checks.
• Troubleshoot complex malware and security incidents, conduct root‑cause analysis, and drive resolution.
• Serve as escalation point for high‑priority security incidents and coordinate remediation with cross‑functional teams.
• Maintain SOPs, runbooks, and documentation aligned with compliance standards.
• Monitor and report endpoint security metrics, coverage, compliance, and incident trends.
• Support vulnerability remediation, POA&M tracking, and audit readiness.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience managing enterprise anti‑virus/security solutions.
• Experience operating in regulated, federal/FISMA‑aligned environments.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
