Android Software Engineer

About the role

Truecaller is looking for an Android Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain the core components that power every feature of its mobile app. You will shape the architecture, ensure code quality, and drive delivery cadence for platform capabilities such as networking, performance, and shared libraries.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement foundational Android components and libraries.
• Maintain high standards of code quality, testing, and documentation.
• Participate in technical discussions and influence the long‑term direction of the Android platform.
• Deliver complex front‑end features and performance improvements.
• Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and collaborate with the release team to ensure smooth continuous delivery.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional Android development experience.
• Strong knowledge of the Android SDK (minimum 5 years of hands‑on work).
• Proficiency in Kotlin and Java.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and SQL databases.
• Fluent English communication skills, both spoken and written.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
