Android Software Engineer

About the role

Zoox is building a fully autonomous ride‑hailing service and needs an Android Software Engineer to help shape the rider experience. You will work on a brand‑new Android application that connects users to an autonomous fleet, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑impact features.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Android components using Kotlin and modern frameworks.
• Implement product features that enhance the rider experience and ensure reliable data flow from server to UI.
• Collaborate with client, cloud, and vehicle engineering teams to create end‑to‑end solutions.
• Partner with design and product teams to build intuitive, high‑performance interfaces.
• Iterate on rider‑facing features to solve real‑world challenges in autonomous ride‑hailing.

Required profile

• 1+ years of professional software development experience.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong expertise in Kotlin and modern Android development practices.
• Experience working with RESTful APIs and basic networking concepts.
• Proven ability to work cross‑functionally with engineering, product, and design teams.
