Android Software Engineer III

About the role

Verily is seeking an Android Software Engineer III to join its mobile apps team. You will help build and maintain the flagship consumer product that delivers personalized health experiences to users worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, launch, and maintain critical user‑facing features in the Android app.
• Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and technical discussions.
• Collaborate with mobile, backend, frontend, UX, product, and quality teams to deliver high‑quality, regulated software.
• Align with iOS engineers to ensure cross‑platform consistency and improve developer productivity.
• Work closely with product, UX, and quality to define requirements, design mocks, and implement regulatory protocols.

Required profile

• Strong CS fundamentals with a BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of professional Android development experience.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Native Android development experience using Kotlin.
• Passion for user experience and empathy for users.
• Familiarity with automated testing and interest in full‑stack development.
