Analytics Engineering Internship

About the role

Greystar’s Data, Digital, and AI (D²AI) organization is seeking an Analytics Engineering Intern to join the Decision Intelligence team. You will work on a scoped data project from start to finish, applying modern analytics tools and AI‑assisted development to solve real business problems.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with business teams to understand goals and data needs.
• Build and validate data models using SQL, Python, and Databricks.
• Leverage AI coding assistants in daily workflow.
• Analyze data, identify quality issues, and develop practical solutions.
• Test, document, and iterate based on feedback.
• Present final project and recommendations to business and Decision Intelligence leaders.

Required profile

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
• Expected graduation between December 2027 and June 2028.
• Experience with SQL and Python through coursework, projects, or prior internships.
• Exposure to data visualization or BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Interest in using AI tools to support technical and analytical work.
• Strong communication, curiosity, and attention to detail.
• Ability to learn quickly, ask thoughtful questions, and take ownership of work.
