Analyst – Transaction Driven Financial Crime (CIB Client Lifecycle)

About the role

This position supports Santander's Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB) in the United States by overseeing the end‑to‑end Transaction Driven Financial Crime (TDFC) processes. The analyst ensures compliance with AML, anti‑bribery, anti‑financial crime, and related regulatory standards while serving as the primary liaison between business lines, external clients, and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct end‑to‑end screening, transaction monitoring, and trade finance reviews for US CIB clients.
• Manage alert and transaction review processes, gathering information from global teams and internal stakeholders.
• Perform quality assurance on false positives and communicate findings.
• Stay current on AML typologies, new rules, and regulatory announcements.
• Escalate high‑risk alerts to the second line of defense (Compliance) as needed.
• Analyze legislation and industry practices to implement compliant procedures.

Required profile

• Experience with transaction monitoring, alert investigation, and AML compliance.
• Ability to conduct risk‑based assessments using internal and external tools.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including outreach for missing information and documentation validation.
• Knowledge of anti‑money laundering, anti‑bribery, anti‑financial crime, and anti‑boycott regulations.
