Americas Controller

About the role

We are seeking an analytical and systems‑driven Americas Controller to oversee financial operations, compliance, and reporting for our subsidiaries in the United States, Brazil, and Mexico. The role bridges regional operations with the global headquarters, ensuring rigorous close processes, zero‑failure compliance, and strategic financial partnership.

Key responsibilities

• Own and maintain the general ledger in accordance with US GAAP for all Americas entities.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with speed and precision.
• Manage, mentor, and scale regional Accounts Payable and Payroll teams.
• Develop, document, and enforce accounting policies, internal controls, and intercompany reconciliations.
• Oversee US federal and state corporate tax filings, payroll tax compliance, and SOX requirements.
• Prepare internal reporting, management dashboards, variance analyses, and annual financial statements.
• Coordinate external audits, investor updates, and due‑diligence requests.
• Drive automation and AI initiatives to eliminate manual workflows and improve operational redundancy.
• Collaborate with Legal, HR, and Operations to support cross‑border scaling.

Required profile

• 6+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a multi‑entity, multi‑currency environment.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and familiarity with Brazilian and Mexican accounting regulations.
• Proven leadership experience managing AP and payroll functions.
• Excellent analytical mindset with a focus on process improvement and automation.
