About the role
The Alumni Services Coordinator is a core member of the Alumni Affairs team at Georgetown Law. This role manages both event programming and communications for the Office of Alumni Affairs, serving as the primary point of contact for alumni and visitors.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and execute alumni‑student events, Reunion Weekend activities, regional gatherings, and affinity programs.
- Collaborate with the Office of Student Affairs and student groups to promote alumni initiatives.
- Manage the alumni email account, phone line, website content, and social media channels.
- Prepare alumni correspondence, including letters and acknowledgements for volunteers.
- Welcome visitors at the O'Neill Alumni Welcome Center, provide campus information, and conduct tours.
- Support the Senior Director with financial, administrative, contract, mailing, and database projects.
- Oversee work‑study students and coordinate with internal departments and external vendors for event execution.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in communications, event management, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience planning and executing events for diverse audiences.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple relationships.
- Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Customer‑service orientation and a professional, welcoming demeanor.
