Alterations Customer Service Representative

About the role

The Alterations Customer Service Representative (CSR) plays a vital part in the Alterations department, delivering an A+ experience to David’s Bridal customers. Reporting to the Store Manager, the CSR welcomes shoppers, schedules appointments, answers phones and virtual chats, and ensures garments are ready for pickup.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in‑person, by phone and via virtual chat with genuine enthusiasm.
• Manage appointment scheduling, phone inquiries and customer flow using store systems.
• Promote all alteration services and personalization options, explaining how they enhance each dress.
• Maintain store standards, including cleanliness, organization, promotional readiness and dress‑code compliance.
• Press, steam, spot‑clean and inspect garments to ensure pristine condition before delivery.
• Handle multiple customers simultaneously while delivering five‑star service.
• Escalate complex issues to the Alterations Manager or leadership team as needed.
• Support inventory management by processing special orders, pickups and quality checks.
• Process cash‑wrap transactions accurately and celebrate each customer interaction.

Required profile

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to adapt style to each customer.
• Strong problem‑solving and conflict‑resolution abilities.
• Proactive attitude with confidence to address concerns and know when to seek assistance.
