About the role

Join Applied Materials as an Algorithm Developer II to design, develop, and implement advanced algorithmic and Matlab features that support cutting‑edge semiconductor and display technologies. You will work within project budgets and schedules, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver innovative solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop or improve algorithmic or Matlab features, covering research, design, implementation, and proliferation.
• Perform algorithmic concept‑and‑feasibility analysis, including data gathering, literature review, and evaluation of implementation constraints.
• Document development work, create project plans, and support integration, testing, and deployment of algorithmic modules.
• Collaborate with internal and external customers for gap analysis, data collection, and integration of algorithmic solutions.

• Demonstrates expanded conceptual knowledge in algorithm development and broadens capabilities.
• Understands key business drivers and applies this understanding to deliver results.
• Provides informal guidance to new team members.
