Airfreight Manager

About the role

Shipco Transport Inc., a global NVOCC, is seeking an experienced Airfreight Manager for its Houston branch. You will lead the Air Import and Export teams, ensuring smooth operations, regulatory compliance, and high‑level customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of Air Import and Export, maintaining compliance with company procedures and service standards.
• Supervise, coach, and develop team members, managing workloads and performance to meet operational goals.
• Oversee accurate processing of shipments, including bookings, documentation, customs compliance, and carrier coordination.
• Monitor shipment progress, resolve issues, and communicate proactively with customers, agents, airlines, and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure timely billing, cost control, data integrity, and adherence to IATA, TSA, U.S. Customs, and other regulations.
• Prepare monthly operational and financial performance reports and lead the branch’s budgeting and forecasting process.

Required profile

• Minimum 3‑5 years of airfreight forwarding experience with supervisory or management responsibility.
• Strong leadership ability to motivate and develop high‑performing teams in a fast‑paced environment.
• Comprehensive knowledge of international airfreight operations, import/export documentation, and customs procedures.
