Aircraft Technician A – Avionics Retrofit (Contract)

About the role

Airbus Helicopters is seeking an Aircraft Technician A specialized in avionics to join its Retrofit team in Columbus, Mississippi. This contract position involves working on helicopter avionics systems, performing fabrication, repair, and installation of aircraft parts.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble, install, repair, or replace aircraft electrical and electronic components and systems.
• Install electrical harnesses and sub‑assemblies, including wire and coax cable identification, clamping, bundling, mounting, routing, stripping, splicing, soldering, and termination.
• Interpret blueprints, sketches, vendor and service manuals to ensure correct dimensions, alignment, and tolerances.
• Use a variety of hand tools, power equipment, measuring devices, and test equipment to complete assignments safely and accurately.

Required profile

• Minimum of four (4) years of experience working on avionics.
• Ability to read and follow technical documentation such as blueprints and service manuals.
• Capability to work in a production environment with a focus on quality and safety.
