Aircraft Systems Installer – A220 (Contract)

About the role

Airbus is seeking an Aircraft Systems Installer for the A220 final assembly line at its Mobile, Alabama manufacturing site. The role is contract‑based and involves installing and testing various aircraft systems as part of the production team.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare mechanical components at the workstation or aircraft parking area.
• Mark, assemble, adapt, torque and secure mechanical parts according to drawings and specifications.
• Install hydraulic lines, VTP and HTP systems, belly‑fairing and flap components, air‑conditioning and fuel systems.
• Perform MLG and tank tests, gauging tests and verify system functions.
• Inspect bonding and ensure compliance with order, GTI and technical documentation.
• Carry out additional tasks as required to support the final assembly line.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in aviation production or a comparable mechanical environment.
• High school diploma, GED or equivalent; vocational training is a plus.
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing practices.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
• Willingness to complete Airbus‑provided health, safety, quality and aircraft‑familiarisation training.
