AI Software Engineering Lead

About the role

We are seeking a collaborative AI Software Engineering Lead to drive the technical strategy and execution of our CK AI Service. You will lead a small, high‑performing team, mentor engineers, and ensure delivery excellence while working on complex AI‑powered systems.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and mentor six direct reports, fostering growth and team health.
• Own the technical strategy for CK AI Service, including design and governance of retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG) workflows and API expansion.
• Improve delivery velocity, eliminate bottlenecks and single points of failure, and drive standardization across the platform.
• Establish a sustainable leadership model to support team division and growth.
• Collaborate with the Data Science team to shape product road‑maps and feature design.

Required profile

• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and grow engineering teams, managing performance and career development.
• Track record of creating high‑performing, collaborative environments and reducing knowledge silos.
• Experience establishing scalable team structures and leadership models.
• Deep expertise in designing and delivering distributed systems and APIs at scale.
• Ability to define and execute technical strategies that balance short‑term delivery with long‑term sustainability.
