AI Engineer Consultant (Human Capital)

About the role

Deloitte's Human Capital team is looking for an AI Engineer Consultant to design, build, and operate the data, feature, and retrieval layers that power AI and GenAI solutions for HR products. You will work closely with an AI Data Engineer and a Lead AI Solutions Architect to deliver secure, scalable, and observable AI services.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement trusted, governed datasets and feature pipelines for both predictive ML and LLM‑based applications.
• Build and operationalize LLM‑enabled capabilities such as copilots, knowledge assistants, summarization, and policy Q&A using Claude, GPT/Codex, and Gemini models.
• Implement retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG) patterns, document ingestion, chunking, embeddings, vector/hybrid search, and telemetry for evaluation.
• Develop APIs, services, pipelines, and container/serverless solutions that meet performance, availability, and security SLAs.
• Collaborate with product, data science, security, and platform engineering teams to ensure end‑to‑end solution integrity.

• Understanding of data governance, observability, and cost/performance optimization.
