Agriculture Project Manager

About the role

The Mannik & Smith Group, Inc. (MSG) is a people‑focused, award‑winning consulting firm offering civil, geotechnical, environmental, planning, landscape architecture, agriculture, surveying and construction services. The Agriculture Project Manager will lead projects from proposal through completion, mentor staff, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and serve as the primary client contact, supporting business development and client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage agricultural‑focused engineering projects, including AutoCAD‑based design, permitting, construction observation and certification.
• Serve as the primary client contact, providing clear communication, project updates, and technical guidance.
• Prepare proposals and participate in due‑diligence activities to support business development.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and production staff to ensure successful delivery.
• Oversee contract budgets and financial performance.
• Mentor, develop, and manage staff while supporting office and company growth initiatives.
• Coordinate with MSG multidisciplinary teams (Surveying, Environmental, Geotechnical, Structural, Civil, Agricultural, Traffic, Transportation, Construction Services).
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with client expectations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Agricultural, or Environmental Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure preferred.
• 5–10 years of relevant engineering and project management experience.
• Strong AutoCAD design experience.
• Proven ability to manage projects, staff, and budgets effectively.
• Excellent client communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines in a team‑oriented environment.
