Agentic AI Engineer – Technology Consultant 2

About the role

Infosys is seeking an Agentic AI Engineer to join its Retail, Consumer Goods, and Logistics unit in Austin, TX. The role is positioned at Technology Consultant 2 level and focuses on designing, building, and maintaining AI‑driven software solutions for clients in these sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Document and contribute to business requirements during elicitation.
• Facilitate design discussions, capture decisions and guide the technical team.
• Develop new features and integrate updates while ensuring system stability.
• Perform code reviews, modify the codebase and manage repositories.
• Define and execute test strategies, analyse results and coordinate bug fixes.
• Create user training materials, documentation and support frameworks.
• Resolve production issues and propose preventive measures.
• Maintain detailed records of code, testing techniques and support activities.

Required profile

• Strong collaborative and communication abilities.
• Experience handling end‑to‑end SDLC phases from requirements to implementation.
• Ability to translate complex requirements into actionable tasks.
• Passion for design and hands‑on coding.
• Proactive attitude toward testing, troubleshooting and refinement.
• Comfort working with cross‑functional teams and integrating software components.
