Aeromedical Case Manager

About the role

The Aeromedical Case Manager provides essential administrative and case‑management support to the Office of the Command Surgeon at Headquarters Air Force Reserve Command. Working from Robins Air Force Base, the role ensures that physical examinations, medical standards, and waiver processes are accurately documented and processed for Air Force personnel.

Key responsibilities

• Process and manage physical exams, medical standards, and aeromedical waivers using Air Force and DoD medical systems.
• Maintain accurate case files, track waiver status, and generate reports for senior leadership.
• Interpret and apply medical regulations related to retention, flying classes, Line of Duty determinations, and special operational duties.
• Communicate complex medical and administrative instructions to service members in clear, understandable language.
• Coordinate with medical providers, command staff, and external agencies to resolve case issues promptly.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in military or civilian aeromedical, occupational health, or disability evaluation environments.
• Strong knowledge of medical standards, ICD‑10 coding, and basic anatomy and physiology.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical information.
• Self‑motivated, independent worker with strong time‑management and prioritization abilities.
