Aero Test & Balance Project Manager

About the role

The Aero Test & Balance (TAB) Project Manager leads TAB projects from estimating and bidding through full project execution. Working closely with customers, field teams, and the Construction Services Manager, the role blends technical expertise with project coordination to ensure successful delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Contact customers during the bid process to obtain deadlines, drawings, and job requirements.
• Review submittals, specifications, and prints to define the scope of work.
• Estimate testing and balancing hours in collaboration with the project engineer.
• Gather site information, including contacts, prints, parking needs, and address.
• Prepare balancing reports and issue RFIs for data discrepancies.
• Organize in‑house job start meetings between field supervisor and engineer.
• Monitor job progress, communicate updates, and resolve field issues.
• Provide bi‑weekly testing and balancing status updates.
• Coordinate start‑up activities with technicians, engineers, foremen, and control contractors.
• Visit job sites regularly to attend MEP coordination meetings.
• Set up regular billing based on project completion percentages.
• Review field reports for deficiencies, formatting, and typographical errors.
• Deliver final balancing reports to engineers and discuss findings in person.
• Identify new balancing project opportunities and promote Aero services.

Required profile

• Knowledge of mechanical and control systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or Building Construction Management preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience using Bluebeam software.
