Aero Senior Test & Balance Project Manager

About the role

The Senior Test & Balance (TAB) Project Manager leads TAB projects from estimating and bidding through execution and close‑out. This role involves direct interaction with customers, engineers, field supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure successful delivery of mechanical testing and balancing services.

Key responsibilities

• Contact customers during the bid process to obtain due dates, drawings, and job requirements.
• Review submittals, specifications, and prints to define project scope.
• Estimate testing and balancing hours in collaboration with the project engineer.
• Gather site information, including contacts, parking requirements, and address.
• Prepare balancing reports and issue RFIs for data discrepancies.
• Organize in‑house job start meetings with field supervisors and engineers.
• Monitor job progress, communicate updates, and resolve field issues.
• Provide bi‑weekly testing and balancing status reports.
• Coordinate start‑up activities with technicians, engineers, foremen, and control contractors.
• Visit job sites regularly and attend MEP coordination meetings.
• Set up regular billing based on project completion percentages.
• Review field reports for deficiencies and formatting errors.
• Deliver final balancing reports to engineers and discuss findings in person.
• Identify new balancing opportunities and promote Aero services to customers.

Required profile

• 7‑10 years of experience with a mechanical contractor.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and control systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or Building Construction Management (preferred).

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience using Bluebeam.
