Advanced Welder (T3) – Welding III

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking an experienced welder (Welding III – T3) to join its Kalispell, MT facility. The role involves performing advanced welding operations and fabricating complex assemblies for semiconductor and display equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate TIG, MIG, and Oxy‑acetylene welding equipment and common shop tools such as grinders, sanders, and hydraulic straightening equipment.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, troubleshoot drawing issues, and use measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, laser level) to ensure precision.
• Cut stock (tubing, angle iron, channel iron, flat bar) and fabricate miscellaneous welded and simple frame assemblies.
• Train Welder I and Welder II personnel and maintain a clean, safe work environment.

• Proficiency in analytical processes and problem‑solving for atypical situations.
• Understanding of team integration and ability to provide informal guidance to junior members.
