Advanced Repair Technician – Geek Squad

About the role

As an Advanced Repair Technician on the Geek Squad, you will work in a Best Buy store providing hands‑on technology support and repairs for customers’ computers, phones, and other consumer devices. You will deliver friendly, solution‑focused service both in‑person and over the phone.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose device issues, recommend solutions, and perform repairs following Best Buy procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation of customer requests, repair steps, and outcomes.
• Ensure timely completion of repair tasks and communicate status updates to customers.
• Collaborate with fellow Geek Squad agents to meet service standards and resolve complex problems.
• Participate in training to keep certifications and technical knowledge up to date.

Required profile

• At least 6 months of experience diagnosing, troubleshooting, or repairing technology products.
• Active interest in consumer electronics and a willingness to learn new devices.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong multitasking skills in a fast‑paced retail environment.
