Advanced Practice RN – Inpatient Palliative Care

About the role

The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) will provide palliative care services to inpatient populations within the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS). This position is part of the Clinical Staff – Nursing and supports the institution’s mission to improve patient care for Arkansans.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive palliative care to hospitalized patients.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Provide education to patients and families regarding end‑of‑life options.
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record.
• Participate in quality‑improvement initiatives related to palliative care.

Required profile

• Current University of Arkansas System employee, student employee, or graduate assistant eligible to apply through Workday.
• Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
