Advanced Practice Provider (PA/NP) – Family Medicine & Pediatrics

About the role

Rockbridge Area Health Center is seeking a compassionate Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to deliver high‑quality primary care in family medicine and pediatrics. You will join an integrated, patient‑centered team that includes physicians, dentists, social workers, dietitians, behavioral health counselors, and more.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages, with a focus on family medicine and pediatrics.
• Prescribe medications in accordance with state regulations and maintain DEA compliance.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to improve access to care and coordinate whole‑person treatment plans.
• Participate in community outreach and health promotion activities.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to quality‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Unrestricted Virginia license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• DEA license to prescribe medication (if applicable).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification with hands‑on practicum.
• Not sanctioned under Medicaid or Medicare.
• At least one year of clinical experience preferred.
