About the role
The Adult Education Services Paraprofessional provides essential support to teachers delivering adult education programs in afternoon and evening classes. This part‑time position helps create a structured, welcoming learning environment for diverse adult learners.
Key responsibilities
- Assist teachers with comprehensive educational and functional training.
- Administer TABE testing and record results.
- Prepare and organize instructional materials.
- Conduct student orientation sessions.
- Maintain and update student file folders.
- Ensure classrooms are clean and orderly.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least six months of related work experience.
- Commitment to equity and support for under‑represented and disabled students.
Required skills
- Basic computer skills.
- Familiarity with TABE testing procedures (preferred).
