Adult Education Instructor – Juvenile Correctional Facility (Pine Bluff)

About the role

This temporary position supports adult education programs at the Juvenile Correctional Facility in Pine Bluff. The instructor will deliver classroom instruction, develop lesson plans, and assist lead teachers while handling essential administrative tasks.

Key responsibilities

  • Teach adult education classes and develop instructional materials.
  • Coordinate class schedules and maintain accurate student records.
  • Perform office duties requiring critical thinking and independent judgment.
  • Assist lead teachers with classroom support.
  • Schedule, administer, and monitor TABE and GED testing for all students.
  • Conduct student intakes, add new students to the DRC system, and generate related reports.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive student files.

Required profile

  • Current Arkansas teaching license.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
