Admissions Advisor

About the role

The Admissions Advisor is a key member of the Admissions Team, guiding prospective students from initial inquiry through orientation. This role involves direct interaction with applicants, providing information, scheduling visits, and coordinating the admissions process.

Key responsibilities

• Respond promptly to inquiries via phone, email, web, and in‑person, establishing rapport and providing program information.
• Schedule and confirm appointments, maintain records in the school’s database, and conduct applicant interviews to assess academic and career goals.
• Coordinate admissions examinations, communicate results, and assist with rescheduling as needed.
• Maintain complete admissions files, enter data on leads, calls, appointments, and enrollments into the information system.
• Create reports for the Director of Admissions on inquiries, application statuses, and enrollments.
• Follow up with newly enrolled students to ensure attendance at orientation and early classes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution; technical degree preferred.
• At least two years of experience in higher‑education admissions or related customer‑service/sales roles.
• Professionalism, strong work ethics, honesty, integrity, and courteous communication.
• Comfort with web‑based applications and common business software.
• Clear, concise communication and sound judgment for problem‑solving.
• Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to prioritize tasks efficiently.
