About the role
The Administrative Sergeant is a strategic leader within the Minneapolis Federal Reserve Police, coordinating critical administrative, operational, and compliance functions. The role provides leadership support across training, technical services, hiring, and serves as a liaison with external law‑enforcement partners.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise training programs, track certifications, address compliance gaps, and support professional development.
- Oversee annual compliance requirements, manage compliance staff, monitor standards, and prepare reports.
- Serve as Omnigo subject‑matter expert, train staff, audit records, and liaise with IT for system optimization.
- Provide backup leadership for Technical Services Unit, oversee physical‑security technologies, manage credentialing, and maintain audit readiness.
- Lead hiring processes, coordinate interviews, ensure policy compliance, oversee onboarding, and keep accurate records.
- Maintain clear communication with staff, prepare documents, and update manuals as needed.
- Support operations during emergencies, participate in special projects, and perform other assigned duties.
Required profile
- Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice or related field, or equivalent education/experience.
- Minimum three years of relevant military, law‑enforcement or armed‑security experience, including two years as a sworn officer.
- Core competencies: strong communication, analytical and organizational skills; ability to interpret policies and manage multiple priorities.
- Preferred experience with TSU, Federal Reserve operations, and external law‑enforcement partnerships; FRLEO II preferred.
- Flexibility for meetings, events, emergency response, and 24/7 availability for critical incidents.
