Adjunct Welding Instructor

About the role

The Technical College System of Georgia seeks an Adjunct Welding Instructor to join its Welding Technology program in Statesboro. This part‑time teaching position will guide students toward industry certifications while ensuring a safe, hands‑on learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans and instructional materials for welding courses.
• Deliver classroom and shop instruction covering oxy‑acetylene, oxy‑fuel, plasma cutting, MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
• Evaluate student progress, maintain records, and report on program outcomes.
• Maintain welding equipment, request supplies, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Participate in faculty development workshops and seminars.

Required profile

• Certificate or diploma in welding or related field from an accredited institution, or equivalent military/company training.
• Minimum two years of professional welding experience.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in oxy‑acetylene welding.
• Expertise in oxy‑fuel and plasma cutting.
• Competence with MIG, TIG, and stick welding processes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
