Adjunct Psychology Faculty – Dual Enrollment (Part‑time)

About the role

The Department of Education at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore seeks part‑time adjunct faculty to teach Psychology courses through its Dual Enrollment program. Instruction takes place in partner high schools, allowing eligible students to earn college credit while completing their first university‑level courses.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver assigned Psychology courses in person at designated high schools.
• Follow the high school’s instructional calendar while meeting UMES standards for instructional time, content, rigor, and learning outcomes.
• Use the UMES‑approved syllabus, course catalog description, and assessment practices.
• Maintain academic integrity and quality of the course as a UMES instructor.
• Collaborate professionally with high‑school administrators, counselors, teachers, and UMES representatives to support student success.

• Qualified to provide academically rigorous, college‑level Psychology instruction.
• Ability to support high‑school students enrolled in their first college courses.
• Commitment to uphold UMES academic standards, student learning outcomes, and assessment practices.
• Willingness to work collaboratively with high‑school staff and UMES personnel.
