Adjunct Professor – Growth Mindset and Professional Skill Development

About the role

Eureka College seeks a part‑time adjunct professor to teach two introductory courses for the College Connect cohort in the fall 2026 semester. The role focuses on fostering a growth mindset, self‑regulated learning, and academic resilience among first‑year students.

Key responsibilities

• Teach two 3‑credit introductory courses to 12‑15 students each during the fall 2026 semester.
• Design and deliver curriculum that promotes reflection, goal‑setting, grit, and a growth mindset.
• Facilitate classroom activities linking academic concepts to personal and professional relationships.
• Assess student performance, provide feedback, and support students in their first‑semester courses.
• Collaborate with the Student Success team and report to the Provost or Associate Provost.

Required profile

• Advanced degree (M.A./Ph.D.) in Education, Psychology, Business, Leadership or a related field.
• Experience teaching introductory‑level courses or facilitating student‑development programs.
• Commitment to supporting first‑year students and fostering academic resilience.
• Availability for a part‑time appointment in fall 2026 with potential for future courses.
