Adjunct Professor – Clinical Work (Volunteer Faculty)

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) seeks a volunteer faculty member to join its Clinical Work (CW) Internal Medicine Palliative Care team. The position involves virtual teaching, mentorship, and participation in quality‑improvement and research activities, with an annual on‑site visit to Little Rock for Grand Rounds or invited lectures.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver didactic lectures and educational sessions virtually.
• Mentor junior faculty members and support their professional development.
• Engage in quality‑improvement projects and research initiatives within the department.
• Travel to Little Rock once per year to present Grand Rounds or other invited talks.

Required profile

• Fully vaccinated against Covid‑19 or hold an approved medical or religious exemption.
• Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
• Approved appointment action in the Joint Faculty Review (JFR) system.
