Adjunct Music Appreciation Instructor

About the role

The Technical College System of Georgia seeks an Adjunct Music Appreciation Instructor to join its faculty on a term basis. The role involves delivering engaging music appreciation courses to post‑secondary students, both in‑person and through distance‑learning platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver lesson plans, course outlines, and class presentations for Music Appreciation.
• Develop program syllabi, set goals and objectives, and evaluate student progress.
• Maintain classroom supplies and equipment, ensuring compliance with institutional, TCSG, and accreditation standards.
• Participate in academic duties such as grading, advising, and curriculum development.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in music or a master’s with at least 18 graduate semester hours in music from a regionally accredited institution.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Required skills

• Experience teaching or working in music (minimum three years preferred).
• Post‑secondary teaching experience.
• Familiarity with distance‑education technologies.
