Adjunct Medical Assisting Instructor

About the role

The Technical College System of Georgia seeks an Adjunct Medical Assisting Instructor to join its faculty in Statesboro. This part‑time position involves delivering both online and classroom instruction to aspiring medical assistants, ensuring they acquire the skills needed for successful careers in healthcare.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans and develop course syllabi, goals, and objectives.
• Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain all required documentation and administrative reports.
• Ensure safety and security requirements are met in the training area.
• Collaborate with students, staff, and other educators on instructional programs and related issues.
• Assist with recruitment, retention, and job placement efforts.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree from an accredited post‑secondary institution.
• Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification from AAMA.
• At least two years of hands‑on experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Current CPR certification.

Required skills

• Knowledge of medical assisting procedures and terminology.
• Ability to develop curriculum and instructional materials.
• Proficiency in student assessment and evaluation.
