About the role
The State of Georgia is seeking an Adjunct Instructor to teach Engineering Technology courses. The role involves delivering instruction, developing curriculum, and supporting student success in a post‑secondary environment.
Key responsibilities
- Instruct students in Engineering Technology skill areas under general supervision.
- Develop syllabi, program outlines, goals and objectives in line with state standards.
- Evaluate student progress and maintain required documentation and reports.
- Manage supplies, equipment, and budget requests for the program.
- Maintain program certification requirements and contribute to accreditation and assessment reports.
- Participate in staff development, workshops, and conferences.
- Ensure safety and security in training areas.
- Assist with student recruitment, retention, and job placement efforts.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in Civil, Electrical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering/Engineering Technology from a regionally accredited institution.
- At least three years of relevant engineering technology work experience.
- Credentialed to satisfy accrediting bodies for assigned courses.
- Preferred: Doctoral degree, manufacturing or quality‑control experience, prior post‑secondary teaching, and online teaching experience.
