Adjunct Instructor – Early Childhood Care & Education

About the role

This part‑time, non‑benefits‑eligible position is for an Adjunct Instructor who will teach Early Childhood Care & Education courses at Lanier Technical College. The role is temporary and appointed on a per‑academic‑term basis, offering flexibility for qualified professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver instruction based on approved course syllabi.
• Develop curriculum materials and lesson outlines.
• Evaluate student progress through examinations, assignments, and grading.
• Maintain accurate records of student grades and attendance.
• Ensure safety and security standards are met in training areas.
• Participate in in‑service training, workshops, and seminars as required.
• Meet all academic deadlines and collaborate with students, staff, and supervisors.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution.
• Minimum of three years relevant professional experience.
• Previous post‑secondary teaching experience is preferred.
• Experience with online teaching platforms is a plus.

Required skills

• Computer software proficiency.
• Knowledge of student information systems.
