Adjunct Instructor – Diesel Equipment Technology

About the role

Join Athens Technical College as an Adjunct Instructor in Diesel Equipment Technology. You will deliver classroom and online instruction, helping students acquire the skills needed for careers in diesel equipment maintenance and repair.

Key responsibilities

• Teach assigned courses in accordance with the program chair’s direction.
• Develop familiarity with program outcomes, course materials, and TCSG curricular standards.
• Use Blackboard and other online tools to deliver instruction and assess student performance.
• Grade examinations, maintain accurate student records, and submit required reports on time.
• Participate in program meetings, workshops, and safety compliance activities.

Required profile

• Diploma in Diesel Equipment Technology or a related field from an accredited institution.
• At least three years of relevant work experience in diesel equipment technology.
• Credentialing that satisfies accrediting bodies for the assigned courses.
• Associate’s degree and recent (within seven years) industry experience are preferred.
