Adjunct Humanities Instructor (Part‑time)

About the role

Lanier Technical College is seeking a part-time Adjunct Humanities Instructor to deliver high-quality instruction across its campuses. The position is non-benefits eligible and focuses on teaching undergraduate humanities courses.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver professional instruction following approved syllabi and ensure course outcomes are met.
• Develop and prepare curriculum, lesson outlines, and instructional materials.
• Evaluate student progress, administer and grade examinations, and maintain accurate grade records.
• Participate in in-service training, workshops, and seminars as required.
• Uphold safety and security standards in classroom environments.
• Meet all deadlines set by the Associate Dean of General Education and collaborate with students and staff.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Humanities or a related field with at least 18 graduate semester hours in relevant coursework from a regionally accredited institution.
• Ability to effectively teach and supervise a diverse student body.
• Submission of an unofficial transcript is mandatory.

Required skills

• Proficiency in using computers and job-related software programs.
• Experience with student information systems.
• Skill in developing lesson outlines and instructional materials.
