Adjunct Funeral Service Education Instructor

About the role

The State of Georgia seeks an Adjunct Funeral Service Education Instructor to join its Funeral Service Education program. You will prepare, plan, and deliver instruction to students while ensuring a safe learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop program syllabi, goals, and objectives.
• Deliver classroom and lab instruction to students.
• Evaluate student progress and provide feedback.
• Maintain safety standards in lab/training areas.
• Request and manage supplies and equipment.
• Prepare course outlines, presentations, and ensure compliance with institutional, TCSG, and ABFSE accreditation standards.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution (or to be earned within five years of appointment).
• Graduate of an ABFSE‑accredited funeral service education program.
• Valid Georgia Funeral Director’s license.
• Valid Georgia Embalmer’s license.
• At least three years of paid field experience within the past seven years.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
