Adjunct Faculty – World Language

About the role

The University of Arkansas at Fort Smith seeks qualified professionals to join its faculty as Adjunct Instructors for World Language courses. This part‑time, fixed‑term position supports the university’s mission to provide hands‑on, transformative learning experiences for a diverse student body.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deliver, and assess undergraduate World Language courses in accordance with university standards.
• Develop engaging lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments that promote language proficiency.
• Maintain regular office hours to advise and support students.
• Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum reviews, and professional development activities.

Required profile

• Relevant graduate degree or equivalent professional experience in the target language.
• Demonstrated ability to teach at the college level or equivalent instructional experience.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse learning environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in the target world language.
