Adjunct Faculty – Psychology (Teaching Position)

About the role

The University of Arkansas at Fort Smith seeks an Adjunct Faculty member to teach psychology courses on a fixed‑term, academic‑term basis. This position offers the opportunity to engage a diverse student body in hands‑on, transformative learning experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate psychology lectures, labs, and discussion sections.
• Develop and update course syllabi, assignments, and assessment tools.
• Evaluate student performance through exams, projects, and participation.
• Maintain office hours and provide academic advising.
• Utilize the campus Learning Management System to post materials and communicate with students.

Required profile

• Graduate degree (M.A. or Ph.D.) in Psychology or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated experience teaching at the college level or equivalent instructional experience.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS) for course delivery.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office applications for preparing instructional materials.
